ASBR teams at 13u, 14u and 15/16u will complete in tournaments this summer hoping to advance through district, state and regional playoffs that will culminate in a World Series event at each age level.

July 24
Tough game today. The team fell to Altamone, FL in their first game of the tournament.
The ASBR 14u team will host their state tournament here in Arlington at Barcroft 6, July 12-14. Track there progress here. Better yet, come out and catch the action up close!
July 11
Arlington lost a tough game against Winchester this morning but bounced back to beat Northern Fairfax tonight. Pool play continues tomorrow!
July 12
Big win against crosstown rival Vienna tonight, 15-0.
July 13
Another great win against Augusta today, 15-4. That puts Arlington in contention for the championship game tomorrow.
July 14
The ASBR 14u All-Stars are the Virginia State champions! They faced Winchester again, but this time with a better result, winning 6-0. Nick Zafiropulos pitched a shut-out and was named MVP of the tournament. Next up - the Southeast Regional in Ocala, Florida!

Unfortunately, the 13u All-Star team had a tough run at states, but played under beautiful skies. On the left, Finn Smith pitches.
July 24
Arlington played the host team, Ft. Myers, FL for their first game. A storm delayed the game in the 6th inning. Arlington kept its momentum and returned to win 11-1.
July 25
Arlington continued to beat their opponents in pool play, and emerged to the playoff bracket as the #1 seed.
July 26
Arlington played Stanly County in the first bracket game and easily surged ahead after a delay, winning, 16-6.
July 27
Unfortunately, the tournament ended for Arlington today in the semifinal game. They were down 5-1 against Julington Creek, a team they had beaten earlier in pool play. They staged a comeback but fell just a little short at 5-4. Congratulations team on a great run!
The 15/16u All-Star team advanced to their state tournament after winning their district tournament--defeating each opponent by more than 10 runs in each game.
July 11
Arlington beat Nottoway 13-1 with home runs by Alex Goodell and Jack Ingram.
July 14
Several days were lost to weather-related issues, but finally the ASBR 15/16 All-Stars played again late tonight. Unfortunately, they lost a heartbreaker to a perennial-rival Lakeside by walk-off in 11 innings, 5-4.
Next game will be tomorrow in this double-elimination tournament.
July 15
Back at it early this morning to beat Winchester 7-1. And another win against Northern Fairfax late tonight, 7-4. Another match-up against Lakeside tomorrow morning to climb back into the championship game.
July 16
Big win this morning, beating Lakeside 7-5! But the extra games proved to be hard to overcome and the team ran out of gas and pitching. They lost the championship to Manassas but finished 2nd in the state and will advance to the Southeast Regional in Ft. Myers, FL beginning July 23.
